Budding Bookworms: The Bad Guys

Monday, March 27th

This month's book club highlights the popular early chapter series "The Bad Guys"! Read or listen to "The Bad Guys (book 1)" by Aaron Blabey before the club meeting. Then join us as we discuss the book, play a trivia game, and make a themed craft. A light snack will be provided.

Teen Advisory Board

Teen Advisory Board is a place for teens to get involved with their local library. At TAB meetings we will discuss popular books, movies, and shows. Let us know what programs or materials you would like to be added to the library. Light snacks are provided.

Comedy Writing with Joe Hobby

Tuesday, April 11th

Learn how to write comedy during this introductory class taught by professional comedian/writer Joe Hobby. Mr. Hobby is an Alabama native; he wrote for Jay Leno for many years and currently produces a humor column for the Trussville Tribune. You will learn how to structure a joke, create effective delivery, and more!

Eclipses and Astrology 

Tuesday, April 18th  

6:30 pm | Parkway Meeting Room

There are four eclipses coming up in 2023. Learn how eclipses are important astrologically during this talk from Mandi Rae of Ecstatic Astrology. Eclipses occur when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align in a specific way, causing the shadow of one celestial body to fall on another. In astrology, the Sun and Moon are potent symbols that represent the conscious and unconscious parts of the self, respectively. So, when they align during an eclipse, it's believed to amplify the energy of the zodiac sign in which the eclipse occurs.
