Valle Country Fair 2023

Arts and Entertainment

October 17, 2023

From: Valle Country Fair

Food

Eat all you want at the Valle Country Fair because nearly all of the food concessions are operated by the church or by other non-profit organizations that return 100 percent of their earnings to local charities. Tables and chairs are provided under a large tent next to the stage so that fairgoers can enjoy the music while they dine.

Food concessions include Brunswick Stew, barbecue, chili, hot dogs and hamburgers, roasted corn on the cob, sausage with onions, baked goods, jams and jellies, apple butter and fresh-pressed apple cider. Don't feel like cooking after a day of leaf looking and Fair going? Get yourself a quart of chili, stew or BBQ to go - and a cake or pie too!

Crafts

The region's most accomplished artists and craftspeople submit to a jury process that is designed to bring together the highest quality handmade crafts available. The Exhibitor committee requires that all work be original in design, form, concept and media, and that it be handcrafted or artistically crafted by the exhibitor. This process insures that fairgoers have the greatest variety of one-of-a-kind products to choose between.

And as a show of support, exhibitors participating in the event donate at least 10% of their earnings back to the Fair charities.

Mountain Music

And other hill-country entertainment

Two stages are set up to provide entertainment throughout the day. The stage located near the dining tent features local bluegrass and country bands. A second stage located among the crafts booths features storytellers, cloggers and mountain-style performances.

Fun For The Whole Family

The Valle Country Fair offers lots of distractions for every member of the family. There is an activity area where kids can play games, bowl with pumpkins and busy their hands with arts and crafts. Other diversions include visiting with live alpacas, face painting and keeping time with the stomping feet of local clog teams.
