Vineyard Haven Library patrons now have access to Gale LegalForms, a database of templates of legal documents for the state of Massachusetts, including wills, residential and commercial leases, durable power of attorney and health care proxies and other life planning documents. Patrons can either search the library of forms and download and print them, or access a list of forms that can be completed online. Please note that some forms require witnesses before a notary public and are only valid if completed properly; the library cannot give legal advice. You can access Gale LegalForms by clicking here

Online Workshop: Writing Through Grief & Loss

[Online] Tuesday September 6th & Tuesday September 13th at 6 pm
Writing Through Grief and Loss with Caroline Joy Adams

If you have experienced a significant loss -- through death, divorce, or another situation that has been equally traumatic to you -- in either recent times or in the past, you are not alone. You may find it helps to take the time to put your feelings and experiences into writing, and share them with others, as one component of the pathway towards finding meaning, and moving forward on you life pathway, even while sadness - and other deep, complex emotions -- may be still very much present. You are invited to join us for this 2 part Zoom writing workshop, September 6th and 13th. Caroline Joy Adams often hosts writing progams at the Vineyard Haven Library and has a Masters degree in Psychology and is a certified grief counselor.

Join us for a special fundraising event with author Geraldine Brooks, who will discuss her latest novel, Horse, based on the remarkable true story of the record-breaking thoroughbred Lexington. Books will be available for purchase and signing following the talk. This event will be held outdoors at the Historic Tashmoo Spring Waterworks Building in Tisbury.

Event is sponsored by the Vineyard Haven Library Building Fund, Inc. Reserve your place early to meet Geraldine and learn about the Library's exciting program room project.
