Artist Happenings

Heather Patterson and Doug Haeussner were both selected to participate in the Rocky Mountain Triennial at the Museum of Fort Collins.  The show is on view May 26 - August 6.  The exhibition this year is hand-selected and juried by Merry Scully, the Director of the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art at California State University, San Bernardino.  The show features 46 artists across seven states in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Malcolm Easton’s piece “Apple and Armature” will be on display from June 9th to August 18th in the 2023 Artworks Northwest Biennial exhibit at Umpqua Valley Arts, Roseburg OR

Farida Hughes is exhibiting several paintings in Radius at the Delaware Contemporary Art Museum, Wilmington, DE. Curated by Joshua Hollingsworth and Cara Ober, the exhibition is on view June 9 through August 27, 2023. 

Kevin Hoth has a print called Floaters from his new Fifth Channel series in the exhibition I Do / You Do / We do at the Center for Visual Art. The exhibition runs until August 5th. Additionally, Kevin will be teaching a two-day photography workshop at the Denver Botanic Gardens in early June. You can sign up here.

Tonia Bonnell's drawing "In the Explosion: Rise" was selected to be part of the juried group exhibition Big Draw Colorado at the Arvada Center, on view June 8 - August 27. With 77 works from 71 artists, Big Draw Colorado illustrates the vast world of drawing across the state.

Blair Vaughn-Gruler discusses, through her recent paintings, the epic struggle between the non-objective surface made of paint, which pivots off of ideas and concepts, and the narrative impulse that always seeks to express itself. On view May 19 - July 1 in Non-Objective Narrative at GVG Contemporary. 

Melanie Walker is a featured artist in Vibrant Accessibility, an exhibition at McNichols on view through August 27, 2023. In this group exhibition, each artist creates accessible artwork, especially for low vision and blind audiences.
