Schools and Libraries

July 31, 2022

From: Waterford Public Library

Join us for an engaging and interactive presentation to learn about the healing benefits of practicing shinrin-yoku, also known as forest bathing.  You will learn how this practice came about, what studies and research has confirmed, and how you can incorporate this practice into your own health and wellness routine.

We will meet at Avery Farm Nature Preserve which spans the border of Ledyard/Groton.  Click this link for the Trail Map.  We will be meeting at the parking lot at the end of Lambtown Road off 184 (intersection with Flanders Road) in Groton; go to the end of that road.  Please remember to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.  Registration is required as space is limited.  Please click here to register. All those who participate must sign a Waiver & Release of all Claims prior to the start of the event.

Alexandra Lowry of Wisdom Alliance, has been an Integrative Life Coach since 2013, and began offering events and lectures as a Nature Therapy Guide, after discovering the shinrin-yoku practice, and incorporating it into her own personal wellness plan 6 years ago.
