We had an exceptional turn out to honor Martin Luther King, Jr., at the Hall on Monday! After the walk in town, many of you attended the presentation of "Neighbors," directed by Judith Partelow. The presentation was funded in part by our friends at the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. It was a standing room only crowd!
The Prez Hall Coffee Bar is back! We had a great crowd after Jen Shannon's yoga class on Tuesday, 1/16. The Coffee Bar will be open regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting next week, January 23rd, from 10-12pm. Baked goods welcomed!
This Friday, January 19th, from 7-9pm is Contra Dance night! All skill levels welcomed. It's $15, or $10 for those under 30 and $5 with student ID.
Sunday, January 21st, from 3:00-4:30pm is Fleet Movement Explorations, run by Rebecca Burrill. This drop-in donation based dance class, in the downstairs Hall, is a structured improvisational dance class.
Jen's yoga class is canceled this coming Friday, January 19th and Tuesday, January 23rd.
All Month: This month's art show: ArtPeaceMakers Artist Reception, "MLK Art Show for Racial Justice." Come see some truly amazing art created by our local elementary and middle school students, along with some incredible pieces by Jo Hay, Elspeth Slayter, Amy Waltch, Kathy Meyers, Sheryl Jaffe, Farrukh Najmi, Jeanne Dore, Myra Kooy, Robin Joyce Miller, Pancheta Peterson, Kurt Reynolds and Ellen LeBow.
We love offering free events to the public, and it's made possible mostly in part by your generous donations. Events, particularly the ones this month, are especially important to offer to our community to continue to foster a sense of belonging and acceptance. Contributions are so appreciated and mean so much to the Hall. If you'd like to donate, click here.
Reminder: Yoga classes are held upstairs on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9 am with Jen.
Jen's yoga class is canceled this coming Friday, January 19th and Tuesday, January 23rd.
Zumba classes are downstairs Wednesday (8am) and Sundays (9am) with Erin and Alissa.
