Community Summer Learning Program
June 11-September 2

Whether you are participating for fun or participating for school, we are here to help you do it! The library makes it easy for you to grab the books you want and participate in community activities all summer long.  All ages are welcome to join the fun!

Participation is easy:
1) Register yourself online or at your local branch
2) Track your progress
3) Enter your achievements by Friday, September 2 for a chance to win our grand prizes and other rewards along the way!

SC Murray Presents: The Art of Play

A high-quality arts experience for youth including storytelling, acting, singing, dancing, drumming, painting, coloring, drawing, and creative writing. Join the fun! Open to all ages & families. This program is sponsored by the Arts Council and the New Haven Department of Arts, Culture and Tourism.

Wonderful Books and Where to Find Them

The New Haven Free Public Library, in partnership with the Yale Affinity Groups, is excited to bring you this book club for families focusing on topics of social importance! This month we focus on people with disabilities with a reading of Six Dots: A Story of Young Louis Braille by Jen Bryant. Join us in the Children's Room or online!

Join us for a fun hour of creating-we'll explore the arts and unleash our creative powers! Kids together with their caregivers are welcome to join us. We advise dressing for mess! 

Stay & Play: Child Passenger Safety

Tuesday, July 12, 10:30-11:30 am | Fair Haven

The New Haven Health Department will provide information and demonstrations regarding child passenger safety and car seat fitting. Meanwhile, your child will laugh, clap, and sing along during a safety-themed story time and free play.  Open to children up to 4 years old and a caregiver.

Reading with Winslow
Tuesday, July 12, 4:30-5:30 pm | Mitchell

Come read with Winslow the therapy dog! Children can bring a book they love and practice their reading skills by reading aloud to Winslow. Each child will need to register for a 15-minute slot. Call 203-946-8117 to register. Open to children 6 and up.
