Quest Academy Charter School of Montclair Coalition is pleased to announce the launch of a public campaign to support the formation of a second high school in Montclair, NJ.

The Quest Academy Charter School of Montclair will be open to any interested students in grades 9 – 12, residing in Montclair Township, NJ, starting with grades 9 and 10 in September of 2011. Quest Academy Charter School of Montclair will be an independent charter high school within the Montclair Public School District, which will offer a high-quality, tuition-free, comprehensive and rigorous secondary educational program that empowers learners to become contemporary problem-solvers and critical thinkers. Quest Academy Charter School of Montclair will offer a dynamic curriculum for all students that will exceed standards set by the New Jersey High School Proficiency Exam (HSPA. The core values will be founded upon the mission of offering a learner-centered collaborative secondary academic program, which will include community, family and personal connections. It will also be combined with cutting-edge tools and technology to foster critical inquiry in a consistently responsive environment of high expectations and strong engagement. Technology and arts will be infused throughout the college preparatory curriculum. Offering small group instruction and one-on-one feedback from highly qualified certified teachers, the curriculum will be one of discovery, where students will learn through theory and practice with on-going support, communication and assessment of students’ progress. Its’ dedicated academic team will constantly strive to provide a school environment that encourages intellectual exploration and celebrates student effort in the pursuit of high scholastic achievement.
