Rail Readers Book Club: The Railway Detective

The Rail Readers Book Club meets at the Las Cruces Railroad Museum on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am.

On July 8 we will discuss “The Railway Detective,” by Edward Marston.

Detective inspector Robert Colbeck is one of a new breed of investigators specializing in railroad crimes.  When a mail train is robbed just outside of London, Colbeck puts himself into the minds of the criminals and uses his vast network of underground contacts to track down the masterminds.  Deducing the meaning of clues left behind, he is able to find the villains.  But will he be in time to save their hostage, the lovely daughter of the train engineer?
