We have been studying the Book of Concord (1580), which is a collection of very important writings that were an important part of the Reformation. The book serves as a wonderful commentary on the Scriptures, and gives our study a topical Bible Study structure. Our study is important, still there are two other highlights to this class. The first is the good fellowship. The second is that we are often moved by our study to consider a variety of current events that raise questions for today’s Christians. Everyone who participates has said many times how valuable our studies have been in making clear our faith in the context of our times. We have nearly finished the book and are considering where to best put our future energies.
