Our Mission

The mission of the Society is to operate and maintain a Museum, encourage and promote the discovery, collection, preservation and display of historical objects.  In addition, the Society shall undertake the dissemination and publication of historical facts and knowledge about the activities, sites, memorabilia, materials of the South Shore of Long Island in and around Amityville and the surrounding and adjacent communities and to educate, inform and enlighten one and all relative to these matters.
