Friday, October 23, 2009 was an opportunity for P.S. 75X to participate in the United Federation of Teachers initiative titled "Go Pink: Raising Awareness for Breast Cancer."   And  everyone got involved because raising awareness for breast cancer is a worldwide campaign.

On October 23, 2009, Pink became the most pronounced color for this day. Pink, the symbol of love, to honor loved ones. Pink, the symbol of hope, to support  the breast cancer survivors. And  Pink, the symbol of breast cancer awareness.

The entire month of October  2009, was a success. Earlier in the month P.S, 75X staff raised dollars to fund cancer research and cancer support programs. They also walked for the cure at Orchard Beach. These are some of the powerful strides to eradicate cancer in a lifetime. And P.S. 75X was there. Walking the Walk and In the Pink: Raising Awareness for Breast Cancer.
