The Franklin Farmers' Market at Chapel Hall has an especially lovely village setting in front of the white-columned portico of Franklin's magnificent Chapel Hall. Settled in 1792, Franklin's Main Street was once the Catskill Turnpike, one of the major routes west in the early 19th century. Virtually the entire village is inscribed in the National Register of Historic Places. Twenty local producers offer amazing variety - meat, eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruit, breads and baked goods, plants and flowers, maple syrup and honey, jams and pickles and home grown herbal soaps and lotions - all artfully displayed under white canopies every Sunday 10 AM-2 PM from Memorial Day to Columbus Day weekend. Franklin Farmers Market is a project of Franklin Local, a not-for-profit group founded a few years ago to encourage the growth of local economies and regional sustainability. We also publish a free quarterly local paper, the New Franklin Register, featuring articles about local sustainable initiatives.

May-October Chapel Hall, 25 Institute St.  Franklin NY. Sundays, Memorial Day through Columbus Day, 10AM-2PM.
