Mission :

our church has the privilege in sharing in a wide variety of ministries, all with one Mission- to share the love of Christ with those who do not yet know it.

Houghton Church is a mission-centered congregation. Members of our church family serve around the world and also in a wide variety of home missions. Several missionaries and people of international experience worship here. Almost one-fifth of our church budget goes for some kind of missions, at home and beyond.

Some local ministries include Allegany Hope Mentoring, the Fillmore Youth Center, Habitat for Humanity, Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, Jail Ministry, Senior Citizen Nutrition Trip, Royal Family Kids’ Camp, Houghton College STEP and Athletic Outreach, CompassCare Pregnancy Services, Hephzibah Children’s Home, Rochester Youth Association, Southern Tier Youth For Christ, and Wesleyan Native American Ministries. We support several Short-term missionaries and fifteen families in mission work with Wesleyan World Missions, Wycliffe Bible Translators, OMS, SIL, SIM-TEC and HCJB World Radio
