The new America: Who We Are Tour, offered by NY Waterway Tours in partnership with the National Park Service and the National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy, offers an interesting and exciting look at the continuing impact of immigration on the City and the Nation.  In this 60-minute sightseeing cruise, passengers share the first vision of America that millions of immigrants experienced, from the Verrazano Narrows to Ellis Island, Castle Clinton, Governor’s Island, the Lower East Side and other sites critical to the immigrant epic.

The cruise narration, researched and written by veteran New York Times reporter Sam Roberts with moving passages by other Times reporters and columnists, as well as National Park Service rangers and other experts, set against the backdrop of New York Harbor, is an unforgettable saga of who we are as a people.

Tickets are available for purchase at http://www.nywaterway.com, Castle Clinton in Battery Park, or by calling 1-800-53-FERRY.
