Bare Soundz
The tap-dance innovator and Tony® Award-winning choreographer behind the famed Broadway show Bring In ’Da Noise, Bring In ’Da Funk, Savion Glover, has combined the rhythms of bebop and hip-hop with seemingly impossible footwork to become, in the words of The New York Times, “tap’s superstar.” Glover made his Broadway debut at age 12 in The Tap Dance Kid and received Tony® nominations for his performances in Black and Blue and Jelly’s Last Jam. His newest show, Bare Soundz, brings Glover back to the stage in an exuberant new exploration of tap and musical genres that inspire his work. As Glover has stated, “Tap dance is an acoustical instrument. I hope to share this with the audience.”
