Kiwanis Club Of Downtown Athens

Our Mission:
"We Serve", the Kiwanis motto, defines the primary aim of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Athens. While doing so, the members do their best to live up to the meaning of the word, "Kiwanis", which is, as legend has it, "We make noise. We have fun."

Kiwanis, in general, and our club, in particular, takes pride in performing service projects that directly involve the manual and intellectual efforts of club members. Also, using the income derived from several fund raising projects that are held during the course of each year, the club provides financial support for numerous worthy causes.

Service projects typically originate within one of the standing committees. Some service projects, especially the Band Festival and the Wrestling Tournament, also have a fundraising function.
