Lunchtime Weekly Musical Entertainment at Piatt Park
LPK, the international brand design agency, in partnership with Cincinnati Parks, announces the 2010 LPK Acoustic Lunch at Piatt Park, Garfield & Vine Sts., Downtown. The workweek lunchtime musical entertainment series, showcasing a variety of music in an “unplugged” format, kicks off Tuesday, May 18, and runs every Tuesday through September 28, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to help kick off another Acoustic Lunch season. The series brings such energy and vibrancy to the Downtown residential and business community and further highlights Cincinnati’s prolific creative-class community,” noted Jerry Kathman, President and CEO of LPK.
The May 18 kickoff features Latin jazz from Zumba. Other talent includes the Bromwell Diehl Band, showcasing classic hits on June 15, Faux Frenchmen’s gypsy jazz on June 22, Jake Speed’s original Americana on July 20 and Tanner Hill’s newgrass at the series close on September 28. The weekly series also includes a variety of specialty strolling entertainers.
LPK is the principal sponsor of the Acoustic Lunch Series. Media support is provided by public radio station WNKU, CityBeat and the Business Courier of Cincinnati. Johnny Schott Talent & Events manages the series for Cincinnati Parks.
