Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance Meeting

According to the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, depression and bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression) are both highly treatable, medical illnesses. Unfortunately, many people don't get the help they need because of the misunderstanding surrounding the illnesses or the fear associated with stigma.

Support is essential to recovery. One of the most helpful things one person can say to (or hear from) another is “I’ve been there.” Depression and bipolar disorder can be isolating illnesses, but DBSA has many ways to help connect you with others who have been there as well.  

Lima Memorial is offering help through a weekly DBSA support group meeting. The meetings are held each Wednesday in the East Dining Room on the ground floor of Lima Memorial Hospital. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.
