The first clip shows Dr. Fujita's model and the second clip shows pioneering storm chaser Neil Ward's. Also included is a clip of the Geary, Oklahoma tornado that occurred on May 4, 1961. This film was shot by Neil and was the first motion picture of a tornado shot by a storm chaser on an actual storm chase. EDIT: The very first tornado machine shown is not Dr. Fujita's and was made at Purdue University. Not sure ... |
