Who We Serve:
Pioneer serves more than 301,000 residents in the 1,903 square mile area of Cleveland, McClain and Pottawatomie counties.
Who Governs the Library:
Representatives appointed by city and county government serve on the Pioneer Board of Trustees. The Board is responsible for approval of the policies and finances of the library system.

Founded in 1958, Pioneer is the first multi-county library system in Oklahoma, operating public libraries and information stations in 14 communities:
How We are Funded:
We are a tax supported institution, with approximately 92 percent of our funding coming from ad valorem (property) taxes.
