Over a dozen floats and hundreds of volunteers participated in the event as more then 300 people lined up along Main Street to watch the parade. Businesses, schools, non-profit businesses, and other volunteer organizations from Baker City put together floats made from motor vehicles, tractors, trailers, horses, buses, fire trucks, police cars, ATV's, and carts.

Every year, Miner's Jubilee is sponsored by dozens of business merchants, artists, restaurants, government agencies and non-profit organizations whom participate as public vendors in Geiser-Pollman Park, the Baker County Fairgrounds, and on Main Street, which are all located in Baker City. Miner's Jubilee often attracts vendors from all over Baker County and the western region of the United States. There was also a huge public food court in Geiser-Pollman Park and a large 3-day sale of high-quality civilian firearms at Thatcher's Ace Hardware in Baker City. Other activities during the jubilee weekend included a golf tournament at the Quail Ridge Golf Course, a Lion's Club breakfast for the public, a family fun area in Geiser-Pollman Park, a children's yo-yo competition, a 4-H petting zoo, a quilt show, bronc and bull riding, a Saturday morning parade on Main Street and live street dancing in downtown Baker City.

The choir had traveled thousands of miles from South Africa to help raise donations and public awareness about the Watoto Child Care Ministries. Watoto directly aids young children in South Africa who suffer from problems such as HIV, poverty, or homelessness.
