Volunteer Leadership Training with SOLV

SOLV is pleased to announce two great Metro-area Leadership Training Opportunities this Summer!

1. Washington County Volunteer Action Training:

When: Saturday, July 26th, 2008 - 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Where: SOLV Office, 5193 NE Elam Young Parkway, Hillsboro, OR

2. Portland Metro Volunteer Action Training

When: Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 - 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Where:Metro Office Building, 600 NE Grand Ave. Portland, OR

Summer is the perfect time to get together with friends and volunteers to plan for successful community enhancement and restoration projects with SOLV. Please give us a call or click here to pre-register.

In the workshop we will discuss how to:

·        Plan a project from start to finish

·        Recruit and work with volunteers

·        Approach and work with the media

·        Approach and work with sponsors and donors

Feel free to invite any coworkers, friends, and/or volunteers you work with on a regular basis. The training is free and open to anyone who would like to coordinate a SOLV project in the next year (fee-based training is also available with no project requirement). If you are already coordinating projects with SOLV, come on in for a refresher course or invite the next generation of leaders.
