What We Believe

God

We believe there is one living and true God, who is one in essence while eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 6:3; John 1:1, 14, 10:30, 14:16-17; II Corinthians 13:14.
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the only standard of faith and practice for the believer in Jesus Christ. We believe every word of the Old and New testaments is inspired by God and therefore without error in the original writings. Psalm 119:160; II Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; II Peter 1:20-21.
Mankind
Man was directly created in the image of God to enjoy fellowship and to fulfill God’s will on this earth. In one historic act, man fell into sin by personal disobedience to the will of God; consequently, all men are spiritually dead and subject to the certainty of physical death. All our born sinners with a sinful nature and therefore in need of salvation. Genesis 1:26-27, 3:1-21; Romans 1:18-32, 3:10-20.
Salvation
Jesus Christ died on the cross as the only sufficient payment for our sins. All who received the Lord Jesus Christ through faith are saved by grace and justified in God’s sight. The believer is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the one true Church, the Body of Christ. Romans 3:20-26; Ephesians 2:1-8, 4:4-6.
The Future
We believe in the bodily resurrection of every human being to everlasting life with God for the believer, and to the everlasting separation from God for the unbeliever. We are looking forward to the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 24&25; I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 19-22.
