Bristol township resident, Elisabeth Genco, a contemporary, Christian singer/songwriter has recorded an album with a mission! True to the album’s title “Lifted” it will be used to lift many!
A portion of the proceeds will help fund a missionary trip to Libera. David DiPietro, Jr., Pastor of the Bristol Assembly of God, Sister Sarah Burchill, and Rev. James Coleman, Founder of Shaloca Ministry will spend 12 days helping to erect the “Shaloca Christian Academy” which will provide Christian education to approximately 100 students. The Shaloca “Sharing, Loving, Caring” Ministry will also provide a clinic to this 5,000 member community.
Another part of the world that Elisabeth’s music will impact is Israel. The song “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem” is traveling to the nations via a YouTube video. The Bible (Psalm 122) encourages us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” and with the help of a “song” it is hoped that Christians will remember their Jewish friends in prayer, now as never before.
A new single entitled “I’m Gonna Wait” was written to encourage young people to “save sex for marriage.” Our society is experiencing an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases (“STDs”), and our teens need to know how to avoid the medical consequences that can occur by having multiple sex partners at a young age. The song, arranged and performed by two teens, Marissa and Matt DiPietro, is orchestrated in a music style that today’s teens will enjoy and hopefully the lyrics will remind them, it’s really best to “wait!”
