Brave Art Studio

Developmental & Disability Services (DDS) of Lebanon Valley partnered with the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts to develop a program that would celebrate and recognize the artistic abilities of persons with developmental
delays and disabilities. From this partnership grew the Brave Art Studio. Presently, Brave Art is administered by a group of dedicated artists, community volunteers and professionals.  The group meets weekly. While donations to run the program are welcome, there is no fee for persons to participate.

The studio is a place where artists with all abilities create together.  Brave Art is about enjoying the process of creating art together while diminishing the differences between persons with disabilities and abilities. 

Art work is then displayed and offered for sale to the general public.  50% of the sales is returned to the Brave Art program for the purchase of supplies and materials.  50% of the sale is returned to the artist who
created the original work.
