GETTYSBURG, Pa – On July 20, 1969, America made “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” when Neil Armstrong became the first man to take a walk on the moon. To honor the 40th anniversary of this historic event, Adams County Winery is hosting a 3-day celebration at their Farm Winery in Orrtanna. The event, which runs from July 18^th through July 20^th, will feature the distribution of moon pies and fun t-shirts that commemorate the first steps on the moon. The festivities overlap with one of the Winery’s free summer concerts when Traditions Unleashed takes the stage on Saturday the 18^th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for some fun entertainment.

Adams County Winery has been making wine for over thirty years. During that time, the business has grown from a mom-and-pop business to a nationally recognized producer of award-winning wines. The Winery offers a fun, inviting, and relaxed atmosphere where anyone – locals and tourists alike – can feel at home.
