Miss Dance of the United States ® 2009 visits with AC merchants to honor vets and military….

NOVEMBER 11^TH 2009

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ Miss Dance of the United States® 2009 Nicole Dlug will visit with Atlantic City merchants on Wednesday, November 11^th to take time to remember our veterans as well as our troops around the world. As part of an eight week long campaign, Nicole will be participating in the Atlantic City Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory’s, “Fudge for Soldiers Program” which will be sending hundreds of pounds of fudge to soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan this holiday season. She will also be visiting with veterans at the Atlantic City Applebee’s where she will be honored with a 27 X 42 framed photo. General Manager, Jim Murphy and staff have dedicated a wall in the restaurant to feature Miss Dance 2009 as well as all future recipients. Several Atlantic City businesses have embraced the idea of a new Atlantic City icon reminiscent of the Days of Miss America. Hard Rock Café, The Steel Pier, Melting Pot, MAC Cosmetics, Applebee’s, AC Outlets the Walk, Sheraton, WAYV 95.1, Amicis Pizza, Fischer Flowers, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Daughter of A Rose Gift Baskets, The ACCVA, Stem Floral, Larimar Salon, Art of Flowers, and Long Horn Steakhouse all contributed to the Miss Dance of the United States Competition® this past July and have served as wonderful hosts to the Winner and 12 Finalists during the eight-day long event.

The United States Tournament of Dance has been awarding the Title of Miss Dance of the United States® since 1976 where it began, right here in Atlantic City. The Miss Dance of the United States Competition® has found a permanent home in Atlantic City and will be back at the Sheraton Hotel this July for the 8^th consecutive year.
