Aberdeen And Reservoir Civic Association

237 Chestnut Hill Avenue
781-286-9024

Mission Statement And Goals:
The Aberdeen and Reservoir Civic Association (ARCA) was founded in 1984. We have been working continuously since then to serve the community and have been involved in many issues of importance to the Cleveland Circle, Chestnut Hill Reservoir, and Aberdeen neighborhood. At our public meetings, ARCA provides a forum for communication with residents and elected and Boston City officials.

ARCA's mission is to improve the quality of life of the Aberdeen neighborhood by:

-Monitoring zoning issues and preventing inappropriate development projects, both large and small, that would have a deleterious effect on an already overbuilt neighborhood

-Preserving the architectural character of a neighborhood that encompasses a variety of housing types and architectural styles

-Safeguarding against institutional expansion and working to lessen the effects of both off- and on-campus students in the neighborhood

-Enhancing the streetscape of adjoining commercial zones

-Protecting open space and parkland areas from commercial and institutional expansion
