Alaska Men's Run

Who We Are

The Alaska Men’s Run is an IRS 501 c3 Corporation. This event is one of the oldest activities within the State raising funds and awareness by using the race entry fees to fund educational activities, health awareness, promote early detection of prostate and testicular cancer, and provide financial aid to men with these cancers. All proceeds stay in Alaska.

We will consider any group that provides moral support and information, does research, or any other activities related to prostate and testicular cancer. The Alaska Men’s Run is for organizations requesting up to $5000 grants. We are an all-volunteer organization.

The Kenai Peninsula Prostate Cancer Awareness Group supports and benefits from the activities of the Alaska Men’s Run each year. We have sent volunteers from our group to the race for the last several years to help them on race day.

For 2015, the race had 424 signed up to run or walk; 158 men and 114 women ran and 152 were walkers. 13 cancer survivors participated.

Race Description

The race was established in 1996, making the 2017 race the 22nd annual running.
