This is a fun place. Great atmosphere. The rooftop looks like it would be nice but it was too cold the day we were there. The beer is really really good. Great selection. Service was excellent. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that. The best buy was the flight of beers. Very large pours, well worth it.

Friend introduced me to Ambergeddon many years ago when I last saw him, he told me this was his new favorite beer of the year. He couldn't have been more right. Sadly being in Minnesota I never saw it again...till last year! I luckily stopped by on the day they do tours, my friends have already done this tour twice but were happy to go again cause the beer is great stuff. After the tour, they said it was the best one yet! I got to see their whole production line and equipment, in Minnesota they have to sell under a certain amount so they can sell growlers on premise. So this was a different way of seeing a much larger production line. Great work and I'm so glad you are in the Twin Cities!

Food was good. I had the Asylum Burger and the High Coup seasonal beer. The beer tasted as you would expect one from the Ale Asylum to, very hoppy as it's an IPA. The burger had a nice portion of thick cut bacon. Disappointed you can't get fries as a side just a variety of dips to put your chips into or a salad as a side. Also it would be nice if your table and bar tabs could be combined together instead of having to pay twice.

Very poor service. We had intended to dine in after attending a graduation ceremony, and our friend arrived before us to secure a table. When my family arrived shortly before 9:00 we were turned away because we had two children with us and they apparently have a policy barring minors from the establishment after 9. The hostess was quite rude. We pointed out that it was still before 9:00 and there were other children present in the restaurant. The hostess was dismissive and simply stated that the other guests had gotten there earlier. If this is their internal policy or if they need to comply with local licensing or liquor related ordinances, fine, but there is no need to be rude about it. It would have also been nice if our friend would have been told it would be an issue when she had been there and spoken to the hostess ten to fifteen minutes prior to our arrival.

Food was great. Beer was great, but waitress said pints are $3 tonight, and when my husband picked a beer not on special she didn't let him know it was full price.
