What Does the Anchorage Audubon Society Do?

- Provide information and education on birding and wildlife activities and issues
- Supports local conservation issues
- Sponsors conservation projects
- Provides volunteer naturalists to lead bird tours
- Monthly Programs: Learn about our natural world's birds and wildlife from presentations and slide shows given by scientists, naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts
- Field Trips: Explore Alaska's flora and fauna on year-round field trips to birding hot spots around Anchorage, Southcentral Alaska, and other areas
- Compiles detailed records of Anchorage birds through the local bird hotline, the annual Christmas Bird Count, and the annual Birdathon.
