During his first month in office, Mayor David N. Cicilline created the Gallery at City Hall to showcase the work of local artists. Offering space to artists and organizations that might not have a permanent gallery, the Gallery at City Hall has held an eclectic array of work highlighting the artistic and cultural diversity that is found in the Providence community. hows are held on a monthly basis and often coincide with cultural events occurring elsewhere in the City of Providence. Past shows have included a number of student art exhibits, demonstrating the Mayor’s continued interest in education.
