In 1895, a group of Christians came together in what was called "No Man's Land" of the Cherokee Strip and decided a church was needed. Those believers established the Bethel Baptist Church at Hawley, Oklahoma Territory. Since then a lot has changed. We are now called Bethel Hawley Baptist Church, the town has died, and the church has grown! For over 110 years, our church has been SHARING CHRIST'S LOVE with those in our community, our county, our state, our nation and around the world.
