About

As an Episcopal Church we're part of the Anglican Tradition.

Christ Church was founded in 1844 and our mission has been the same since then, to tell everyone we can that Jesus is the Messiah, which is what "Christ" means.

We’re a Christian Church: we believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord (Master) and Savior (Rescuer), and that the Bible is God’s Word to us. We’re an Episcopal Church under the leadership of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, and as an Episcopal Church we’re part of the Anglican Tradition which dates back to the arrival of Christian disciples in England in the second century A.D.

As Anglican Christians our Sunday worship is liturgical, meaning it follows a specific pattern. Our liturgy comes from the Book of Common Prayer and focuses our attention on God through two primary movements: the Word of God and Holy Communion which all baptized Christians are welcome to receive with us, including children. We gather to pray, sing, profess what we believe and confess our wrongdoing - all of which are essential elements of Christian worship. We believe that when we gather in God’s Name He’s present here with us and having been renewed by Him in our worship we then seek to take His Good News out into our community and the world.
