Only love of God and his glory and love for our neighbors in God’s creation will equip us by the Spirit to minister to our generation as servants for Jesus’ sake. That means we must seek the wisdom and integrity of Jesus in our role as servant witnesses. Acts of Christian love and kindness, meeting basic human needs is where the authenticity of the Gospel takes root. While we want to reach out to those around us, we seek to be discerning. We do not want to make the mistake of embracing the spirit of our culture that has burdened and confused its people and made their coming to Christ who is the way, the truth and the life difficult. Our Deacons Fund, Neighborhood Dinners and community involvement in food assistance are some of our present ministries to people beyond our congregation. From the beginning of Christ Church we have tithed our offerings for ministries of compassion, church planting and leadership training around the world
