Church at the Gateway is an interdenominational Bible church, locally autonomous through its pastoral staff and membership. Our tenets of faith embrace the very basic principles of historic, orthodox Christianity. We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God. It is correct in all it affirms, and is our guide for faith and practice.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, and His finished work of redemption through His vicarious and atoning death at Calvary.

We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead and personal ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven. He will personally return in power and glory in the last days. Jesus Christ is the center of our ministry, the focus of our doctrine and teaching.

We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful humanity regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Christianity does not begin with baptism or church membership, but with a spiritual experience of re-birth by the Holy Spirit of God.

The born-again experience is what separates a true believer from those who simply profess Christianity as a religion but not a reality in their lives. Jesus said: You must be born-again to enter the Kingdom of God. At Church at the Gateway, we call it the 18-inch difference. What many believe only in their heads must also be received into their hearts through the indwelling presence of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in Scripture, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly and effective Christian life. We teach that every born-again Christian is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ. All believers may enjoy the benefits of His fruit and gifts as they discover the blessing of the Spirit-filled life.

We believe in the future resurrection, both of believers and unbelievers. Unbelievers must be saved from an eternal hell and gain Gods gift of eternal life in heaven with all who have trusted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

As an interdenominational church, we believe in the spiritual unity of all believers. Regardless of denominational background, we welcome all who desire to know and serve Christ to be part of our growing church family. Our tangible expression of this belief is our membership in the National Association of Evangelicals. NAE represents over 15 million evangelical, Bible-believing, born-again Christians in over 50,000 local churches, 70 denominations, and 100 church ministry organizations throughout America.
