About us
The Church of the Good Shepherd is a welcoming parish with a family-like atmosphere. The regular Sunday morning worship service is held with The Holy Eucharist, organ and children and senior choirs. Greeters welcome you as you enter the church with a Sunday bulletin, a helpful guide to the service, of prayer and hymns. We follow the Book of Common Prayer and sing from the Hymnal and contemporary hymnals on special occasions.

Father Merritt Harrison, Priest, leads us in worship on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and Holy Eucharist on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and on other various occasions.

We encourage participation of our members, young and old, with lay ministry, reading scripture, sharing a reflection with the parish, alter guild members and many other service committees.

The children attend Children's Chapel, where they learn to pray and participate in a simplified service, or attend Sunday school. They rejoin their families at the peace, so they may partake in the Eucharist. The children may wish to be in the choir or an acolyte.

All are invited to receive the Sacrament, following a prayer of General Confession. A brief coffee hour is held after the Sunday service with members of the church community.

We are proud of our strong family ties, with many parishioners continuing to worship at the Good Shepherd following their forebears. On Sunday mornings the church bell in the belfry still rings beckoning folk to come and worship. The interior of the church is beautiful, which has many wood beams, a pipe organ and many stained glass windows throughout the church and the Chapel of All Saints. The old oak pews and kneelers have been here through time, with the passing of many prayers and contemplations.
