An Association in Southern Baptist life is a body of Southern Baptist churches connected or joined in a relationship of mutual encouragement, support and accountability. This connection is voluntary and the Association exerts no authority over the local church. Cimarron Baptist Association is composed of 52 local, autonomous, Southern Baptist churches located in Creek, Pawnee and Payne counties in Northeastern Oklahoma's Green Country who have chosen to associate themselves together for the work of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. To afford and promote a large fellowship of Christians in the work of Christ.To discover needs which cannot be met effectively by churches individually and to coordinate the use of its resources in meeting these needs.To promote programs and projects and to establish organizations to strengthen the churches and to assist them in achieving their objectives and goals.To encourage every church to support the missionary, educational, and benevolent causes of this Association, the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and the Southern Baptist Convention.To provide a forum for such subjects as the biblical doctrines, polity and ethical standards.
