About Us

In 1986, Chuck and Peggy Cowart began Cowart Ranch and Farms' first endeavors in Flagler County, Fl. by forming The Blueberry Strand with each blueberry plant they planted. As the years flew and their two children grew, so did their local blueberry U-Pick and commercial marketing operation. Then one of natures disasters struck, leaving 6 acres of late variety blueberry bushes.

Since then, our family continues to grow blueberries and we've recently branched into new adventures involving pumpkins, sunflowers, and fall family activities. Two years back, we introduced Agri-tourism into our farming community by hosting Flagler Counties first "Fall Festival and Crop Maze," and we're doing it again!! The festival is scheduled on weekends starting Oct 3, 2014 and continuing until Nov 2, 2014. It will be held at The Blueberry Strand, located at 8185 W. Highway 100 in Bunnell. Check our more information about this by clicking on the tab labeled Maze and Fall Festival. We'd love to see you out here this year supporting one of your local farmers. Remember NO FARMS, NO FOOD!

Live this place during the holidays! They have special events during the holidays and it's just good ol country fun. Very nice people and the kids have a blast. Would highly recommend to people with children who want to get away with the family for the day and not break the bank.

This place is a gem! A true country Christmas in florida. The BBQ was delicious. The kids had fun with Santa! My wife danced with my kids in a lit up barn. Roasted marshmallows on an open fire. Hay ride, Christmas carols, make this an annual tradition for your family like it is for ours.

Personally I didn't like walking in the mud, but I am a city person visiting a farm! The staff were wonderful in every way. We ate lunch from a food truck and could not stop raving about the Mexican street corn.

Maze Dayz was disappointing. The toy and game stations were mostly unmanned and not maintained, so 4 of the 6 water pumps were not working. There were only two plastic shovels to play with in the corn pit. The whole area was incredibly muddy despite being rain-free for days. We came to this farm for our fall activities because Vo-Lasalle near DeLand was closed due to damage from this year's hurricane. We hope to return to Vo-Lasalle next year (attentive employees, great atmosphere, maintained games, animals that have more room to roam), but regardless we won't be coming here again.
