Deep Roots Farm

277 Broadturn Road

A CSA share at Deep Roots Farm is designed for individuals or couples who eat a mixed diet, or an individual who is vegetarian. We grow a diversified crop of seasonal vegetables, including specialty salad greens such as mesclun mix, arugula and a colorful lettuce mix.

Our CSA season lasts approximately 18 weeks, from mid-June through mid-October. Our intention is to build community around the land and its bounty. CSA member benefits will include an e-newsletter, volunteer work parties, occasional potlucks, and a recipe exchange.

We are a small vegetable farm offering a variety of naturally-grown vegetables through our farm store and the Scarborough Farmer's Market. We offer a subscription-based CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program to families interested in local produce on a regular basis. Our farm store is open from June-October on Friday-Sunday afternoons. Our goal is to bring fresh local produce from our farm directly to your table.

Our produce is naturally grown using organic seeds, soil enrichments and compost. No agricultural chemicals or pesticides have been used on the land in over 20 years. We use sustainable methods and farm by our own labor, using primarily hand tools.

We offer a variety of seasonal vegetables.
