Founded in 1965, our focus is a healthy Mississippi. Our mission is to provide hope through programs, services and research to the 346,500 Mississippians with type 1 and type 2 diabetes- from our children to our seniors.

The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi is the only nonprofit diabetes organization completely dedicated to caring for Mississippi kids and adults with diabetes. The DFM is also the only nonprofit diabetes organization in the Magnolia State where every dollar raised here STAYS here! Every dollar you donate or invest in the DFM, makes a direct impact on the lives of so many thousands of Mississippi families affected by the disease. We are Mississippi's diabetes home team!

A few of our programs and services for children and families:

Camp Kandu: a free, biannual camp for children with diabetes and their families; held at Twin Lakes Conference Center in Florence; offers fun, educational activities for parents and kids
