Mission Statement
Based on the belief that “All students can learn,” the staff at Discovery School is committed to the following goals:
1. Students will learn to communicate orally, read and write effectively.
2. Students will be involved in meaningful learning activities that will cultivate their curiosity and motivate them to learn.
3. Students will attain skills that will allow them to become self-sufficient learners.
4. Students will participate in fine arts education enabling them to actualize their creative potential.
5. Students will attain skills in peaceful conflict resolution.
6. Students will have the ability to use technological applications and tools in order to function successfully in a rapidly changing work world.

Vision Statement

The staff of Discovery Elementary School will establish a positive school environment where diversity is valued, academic excellence is fostered
and personal responsibility for actions is expected. Discovery Elementary School will be a partnership of home, school and community. In accomplishing this mission, all students will acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be successful in school and in a global society.
