About Us:

Earthen Harvest is based on the nurturing and growing of sustainably farmed organic produce and herbs. We strive to maintain a working relationship with the land that we sow. To work with the soil builds your spirit and uplifts your soul creating a bond with the environment. Be good to your soil and be good to your bodies.

Earthen Harvest is a small organic farm in New Jersey farming properties in both Ocean and Monmouth counties. Bill McCurdy and Tami Heffner-McCurdy both grew up in Ocean county and met in high school. Their love for the environment brought them into farming as both of their families have done for generations.

After graduating from the University of Maine - Machias with degrees in environmental science and marine biology they decided to do their part in re-greening the garden state and slowly developed their organic farm. Sustainably farming practices have ensured that by being good to the soil, the soil would provide. The soil provided so much that in 2001 they started selling their produce and herbs at the Red Bank Farmer's Market in Monmouth county. Lovers of gardening both vegetables and flowers they decided to share their knowledge of native plants and beneficial insect attracting  perennials.

With an abundance of berries and fruits Earthen Harvest began a baked good branch for the Farmer's Market in able to offer the freshest baked goods in season. The season begins with Strawberry Rhubarb pie in May and ends with Sweet Potato and Pumpkin pies in October with many other fruit filled pies in between.
