About Us

Our humble Department began on January 1,1914 when Colorado was a bit less populated. Today, our Fire / Rescue is a very busy little unit covering 64 square miles responding to many calls that range from a minor - major Medical / Fire / Haz-Mat events. All of our members spend countless hours training, updating themselves on the latest trends in the fire service. We mandate that members of our department be Certified State EMT-B & Fire Fighter 1 State Certified. We pride ourselves in providing the best service possible to the citizens / tax payers of our district when we are dispatched by the Weld County Dispatch Center in north Greeley. We are bordered by other excellent Fire Districts including Ault / Pierce to the north, Windsor / Severance to the west, Galeton to the east and Union Colony Fire Authority to the south. The brotherhood / sisterhood of these departments will help us when the "HEAT" is on with mutual aid assistance. We are also called upon from time to time to help them as well, whenever they need us. Lastly, but certainly not least, we receive much help from Weld County Ambulance & Air Life personnel throughout the year with our many emergency medical calls and traffic accidents
