My labor experience was great. My nurses Elsa & Patrice were amazing! I Love them! However, one of the night nurses really upset me by not listening to my wishes. I wanted to breastfeed and bottle feed because I knew my milk hadn't come in. In the early hours of the morning I had asked repeatedly for a supplement bottle so my son & I could get some rest but she thought it would be best to stick with nursing only and refused to get me a bottle. And, when I asked her to bring him to the nursery, they brought him back after an hour because he was hungry again. If they would've just given him a bottle neither of us would've been crying. I was sore, exhausted and my nipples were bleeding and I had to wait for my husband to bring an infant bottle when he came later with my 4 year old. We ended up supplementing for 5 days until my milk came in. If not for this nurse I would give 5 stars.

I Had both of my kids here and I loved how well coordinated the delivery floor is managed. Very nice nurses!! However the ER is a different story, they took 2 hours to see my little girl who was unconscious. They diagnosed her with a brain tumor which was actually a cyst.

While the majority of the staff I met were helpful, unfortunately my memory will be stained by two very awful nurses that came in while my mother was in code. They intruded and spoke to us as if they knew my mother. They were extremely unprofessional and had no business in there during that very emotional time. One was a day nurse who met my mother only once and the other who was Dr. Walker' s nurse who only met my mother once as well. They played on my sister's vulnerability (as she was exhausted and not thinking straight because she was spending the night at the hospital while my mom was in there) and mine in terms of being consumed with what was happening at the moment. The day nurse said at that point after I told my sister that they might be able to bring my mother around, that she might be ok,"she's not going to be ok" The other nurse, Dr Walker' s nurse came in and gave unsolicited advice. We didn't even know these women. One could argue that they truly cared but neither one came in after my mom passed while we were still in the room to say their condolences or see how we were. When I called the pride line, which is what the hospital suggested I do after I wrote a review, NOTHING happened to discipline these two horrible examples of the nursing staff at this hospital. Their passiveness to discipline these two awful women makes me wonder what else they allow. A sad moment that should not have been made worse by these two women are something now that I'm forced to remember when I recall my mother's death.

OUTSTANDING STAFF! My wife’s water broke Easter morning and we shortly after drove to the hospital. The ENTIRE nursing staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and made my wife feel extremely comfortable and at ease the entire time we were there. Our son was born 6 weeks early so he had to stay in the special care unit for 2 weeks after. My wife went every day and every nurse that took care of our son filled her in on how he did at night. I seriously could not be more happy with the care he received while there, and how they treated my wife during the delivery process. If you plan on having this be your hospital I’m telling you that you are making a great choice. Lucien Michael Senese born 4/1/18 5 lbs 11oz Thankyou Edward elmhurst for staffing your hospital with people that made this experience wonderful for us!

Dr. Linchangco is always friendly and thorough. He never looks in a rush and listens carefully. He explains every detail and is very accommodating and comfortable to talk to. The nurses always follows up and return calls promptly.
