About us
Faith Lutheran is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and the Willow Creek Association. But more than a church that is part of a greater community, we are a gathering of people discovering together what it means to follow Jesus.

Why We Are Here
All living things have a purpose for their existence, and FAITH is a living organism. Together we are Christ’s body—alive with his Spirit—and we have a purpose for existing. In Mathew 28, Jesus gives a simple invitation to his followers. “As you go—in the midst of your life, in all you do—I want you to do just two things. First of all, follow me fully. And as you follow, represent me well in the world, so that everywhere you go people are drawn to me.”

Jesus never said, "Teach them information about me," or "Teach them a belief system." Rather, he said, "I have taught you a way of life, now practice that way of life. Go out and love people, and teach them to live as you yourselves have been taught to live.”

But what does that mean for Faith Lutheran? Everything we do as an organization—rather, as a living organism—is done to enable all of us to live lives that reflect the character and heart of Christ . . . so that as we are going, we take Christ into a broken and busted world. Faith’s purpose—or vision—is to make sure that every person who participates in our community is cared for and equipped with everything they need in order to be what God created them to be—people who love God and people . . . so that we can serve others and help them discover what it is to have a relationship with Jesus—the one who passionately loves us all.

You might have noticed (hard not to really) that we keep using the words ”So That”. Why? We believe that those two words summarize our purpose as a church. FAITH is a gathering of people—not a building—whose vision is to empower individuals to give of themselves fully to following Jesus, so that we can be Jesus’ hands and feet and heart in the world. It is in this way that we can “Change lives through the power of Jesus.”
