Our church is located in the village of Woodridge, a Southwest suburb of Chicago.  We are an Independent, Bible-preaching Baptist church with a passion to see individuals and families transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

We believe that Christ came not only to deliver us from the penalty of sin, but also to deliver us from the power of sin on a daily basis.  Through our Bible studies, Worship services and discipleship ministries we seek to point people to the Christ Who is all-sufficient.

First Baptist Church of Woodridge is led by Pastor Matthew Barber.  Pastor Barber's preaching is both Biblical and practical, his emphasis is evangelistic, and he holds to historic Fundamental Baptist distinctives.  Matthew and his wife Chelsey have one daughter, Melody Joy.
