OUR CORE VALUES

Our Values:  These are the uncompromised positions that FCC holds:

-Victorious Relationship with God.  Christianity is about relationship, not religion.  God wants from you what nobody else can give Him:  your devotion.  We believe the most important relationship is the one between God and man and all other relationships find meaning through this relationship.  This relationship is found in pursuing God and the things of God—prayer, application of the scriptures, and the testimony of God’s active work in our lives.[i]

-Authentic Relationships.  We value creating an environment where there are no masks.  We want you to be able to be real about where you are in life.  We strive to create environments where all people encounter the grace of God, no matter where they are in life’s journey.[ii]

-Life Transformation.  This is a safe place for all no matter where they are in their spiritual walk.  We expect every person to be moving closer to being the complete image of Christ in every area of life.[iii]

-Uniquely Designed by God.  Although we strive for unity, we never expect uniformity.  We celebrate the uniqueness of each person.  Every person is gifted in a unique way by God to serve others for Christ’s glory.[iv]

-Engaging the Community.  We understand that God’s calling on our church is to go beyond just serving inside the walls of our church.  We are always looking for opportunities to honor God by serving others in our community and around the world.  We challenge everyone in the FCC community to impact their circles of influence and partner with others to impact the Napa Valley and the world.[v]

-Sacrificial Living.  The Christian life is not about “us.”  We have been given life to exalt Jesus as our ultimate treasure and we show that value by what we are willing to risk or sacrifice to have more of Him.  We believe that everything we do—every dollar, ministry project, event, and meeting—is to be focused on fulfilling our mission in Christ’s name.[vi]
