As we begin this year, I want to say that I am very pleased to be involved with the Floyd County Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to working with the chamber membership toward a successful and productive year. During my tenure with the chamber I have been happy to be a part of our many successes. Leadership programs like Leadership Floyd County and Youth Leadership Floyd County will help ensure a brighter future for all of the citizens of Floyd County. Our membership meetings and Business After Hours events have been wonderful functions with good attendance. The Economic Development, Education, Government/Civic Affairs and Membership/Business Development Committees have set a productive pace that I expect to guide and direct the activities of the chamber for the coming year. The Annual Chamber Golf Classic, which will be held at Stone Crest Golf Course on July 7, will be our first big event. I encourage all to become involved with our many activities so we can achieve our goals and make a difference in our community. Dr. George D. Edwards Chairman.
